Happy Birthday Leo Fender!! Yep, good ol’ Uncle Leo was born on this day August 10th in 1909. He would have been 102 years old and I’m pretty certain he would be at his bench in his lab cooking up some experimental pickup design or amp circuit. So today when you pick up your Telecaster, Stratocaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Mustang, Precision Bass or Jazz Bass and plug it into your Twin Reverb, Deluxe Reverb, Bassman, Bandmaster, Vibrolux, Tremolux or Princeton Reverb think about the man who designed these tools of the trade. Let’s also not forget that there was no electric bass guitar until Leo literally invented it! So Happy Birthday Clarence Leo Fender. Say hey to Jimi and Janis for us!!!
