Ok peeps I’m going a little tech crazy and we can all blame my old friend Mr. Don for this. There is a really cool app for your iPod or iPhone by Sonoma Wireworks called FourTrack. As the name implies this is a 4-track recording app that you can take with you wherever you go!
Check out the features and some specs: Multitrack recording: use bounce for more than 4 tracks (eg. 8, 12, 16 tracks or more), 16 bit, 44.1 kHz recording quality, Pan Control, Timeline Control, latency compensation is accurate to within 1ms on board Metronome, you can Wi-Fi sync to a computer & import into any recording software, the MasterFX section has a compressor-limiter and a 4-band parametric EQ and a whole lot more. The FourTrack app does require headphones and a microphone however.
Seems like you can make a fast and easy recording like the 88 did with “Love is the Thing” for just $9.99!! Now while taking a call on your iPhone you can say “hang on I’m talking on my 4-track studio”. Technology….!
