I’ve heard the Zac Brown band name around on the internet. I may have even seen a pic or two. But I never actually heard them….until last night on the Grammy’s. These guys absolutely killed it!!!! I was like now there is some really great musicians making great music. They really stood out and caught my attention, I’ll tell you what.
In between the “all sounds the same” rappers, techno broadway production dancers that (can’t) sing, a blur of other “can’t remembers” and the what are they doing there Jersey mooks there was the freakin’ Zac Brown Band rippin’ it up hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. And as a bonus they had Leon Russell on the piano…..doh!
Their vocals were awesome and Zac’s guitar playing was insane. He was pickin’ a nylon string guitar like a house afire while running the length of the Grammy stage. How in the world I didn’t know about thee guys is waaaay beyond me. I am a fan now…!!

Sidenote: Beyonce also killed it last night at the Grammy’s. She is an absolutely amazing singer. I saw her performance of Halo on the Haiti concert and it was mesmerizing. She is probably one of the best if not the best female vocalists in the biz right now. Just my opinion…ymmv!
