I saw a tweet on Twitter from Mike Potvin saying he added some pic to his photo Gallery so I thought I’d check them out. Now I have to admit I do not recall ever hearing about his guitars and I am a bit embarrassed because I am such a guitar maniac and all…… Anyway, I followed the link and saw some really cool pics of some great guitars. The one that really caught my eye was the Ranchero model. All of you that follow me know that I am a Tele junkie and anything that even remotely looks like a Tele piques my interest.
The Ranchero is sort of a cross between a Tele and a LP Jr. leaning more towards a Tele (yessss!). It has the best parts of both guitars. The Tele shape and layout with the Jr’s P-90 (made by Lollar) and the wrap-around bridge. And ain’t it purty? Beautiful swamp Ash body with a Bocote neck and African Blackwood fingerboard. It’s guitars like these that get my G.A.S. in an uproar!!
