Rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Bo Diddley, who banged out hit songs powered by the relentless “Bo Diddley beat” that influenced such rockers as Buddy Holly, U2, Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen has died at age 79, a spokesman for his talent agency said Monday.
