Care For Your Electric Guitar

Guitars normally require very little maintenance. However, a little care in handling and storage will protect your investment for many years to come.

• Never expose your guitar to high temperature and humidity. Never leave your guitar in a hot car or in direct sunlight. Typical heat damage consists of warped soundboards and unglued (detached) bridges. Also finish damage including fading and drying can happen.

• Never lean the guitar on furniture or a wall. The guitar can become unstable and can easily fall and be damaged. Always store your guitar in a case or gig bag, on a sturdy guitar stand or hanging on a wall from a proper wall hanger.

• Wash your hands before playing your guitar. Dirt and skin oil will get into the windings and corrode (oxidize) the strings and  considerably diminish the sound and life of your strings. • Handle the guitar only by the neck. Squeezing the top and body will damage the delicate soundboard bracing.

• Wipe down your guitar and strings with a soft cotton cloth after playing. Clean and polish your guitar occasionally with a light polish specifically for guitars. Avoid silicone based polishes. Also do not use a heavy paste wax. They eventually build up into a thick coating that can inhibit the guitars resonant qualities. This is especially true for acoustic and archtop guitars.

Testimonials:
David Nicholas - The 20watt amp is sounding fantastic! Delivered the goods at the gig and I'm finding cool tones all over the place with it. Love the cab w Emenince Tonkerlites too- perfect for my sounds! Makes the 12 string sound like a grand piano!
Peter Lacis - I had an audition for something recently that was all about Led Zeppelin I -- my custom Pennalizer BLEW THE MINDS of the guys I was playing with. They couldn't believe the sounds coming out of that amp. That album was never in my mind when I came up with the idea....so that's yet another testament to the amazing work that you do.
Scott Goldberg - I am very satisfied with the set-up, and the fast turn around.  With the "lower" action it feels easier to play.  I will definitely spread the word.
