Birchwood-Casey True-Oil Gunstock Finish If you are a DIYer like me and like an oil finished neck the you must try the Birchwood-Casey True-Oil Gun Stock finish. This product was brought to my attention by John Frondelli. While he was at the 2009 Winter NAMM show, the G&L company was doing a demonstration on how they finish their necks. This is the product they use before they spray the finish on the neck. It is easy to use and really makes the grain in the wood pop and take on a 3D effect. I used it recently on a maple neck and the grain was very nicely pronounced with beautiful separation and depth. True Oil dries quickly and after just one application feels fantastic to play on. The end result is better than Tung Oil or even nitrocellulose in my opinion having a natural and sort of waxy feel. Sweat never gums up the neck so you do not slip off or bind up while playing. You can use multiple applications and a tight grain like maple will become filled and have a smooth, silky feel. I cannot recommend this product enough. It is easy to use and does not have a strong odor like nitrocellulose.

Testimonials:
David Nicholas - The 20watt amp is sounding fantastic! Delivered the goods at the gig and I'm finding cool tones all over the place with it. Love the cab w Emenince Tonkerlites too- perfect for my sounds! Makes the 12 string sound like a grand piano!
Peter Lacis - I had an audition for something recently that was all about Led Zeppelin I -- my custom Pennalizer BLEW THE MINDS of the guys I was playing with. They couldn't believe the sounds coming out of that amp. That album was never in my mind when I came up with the idea....so that's yet another testament to the amazing work that you do.
Scott Goldberg - I am very satisfied with the set-up, and the fast turn around.  With the "lower" action it feels easier to play.  I will definitely spread the word.
