Here is a brand new 2013 Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar that a customer of mine purchased a few days ago. It’s only in the shop for a set up. Most new guitars could use a good set up right off the rack. Why is that you ask? Well, first of all guitars are set up at the factory and that initial set up can change during shipping. Second, shipping from the factory in one climate to the dealer in another climate can also affect the set up. Just think of how your guitar changes from season to season. The effect could be more dramatic because the guitar is brand new. Anyway this red beauty is all set up and is playing really nice now. I was really digging the color!
