The 02 Series features two models as well: VAMD-02 and VAOM-02..mini-dreadnought and auditorium styles again. Both models feature mahogany back and sides, spruce top, traditional x-bracing, hand inlaid 3-ring sound-hole rosette, chrome plated die-cast tuners w/ removable metal buttons, rosewood fingerboard and bridge. 02 Series guitars have a price tag of $399.00 (carry case included) so now it is even easier to get into one of these…!!!
I reviewed the VAD-06 and played the new 04 and 02 Series at the 2010 Winter NAMM Show. These are really great guitars and the fact that they fold up is a bonus. The hinge system designed by Harvey Leach is genius and extremely easy to use. The guitar unfolds and is about 90% in tune every time. I was very surprised about this. The Voyage-Air guitars impressed me so much that I became affiliated shortly after the NAMM show.
I will be getting a VAOM-04 for review very soon and I have to say that I am very excited to give this a whirl. I may have to take a trip some where just to see how it travels…!!! Anyway be on the lookout for the VAOM-04 review in the coming weeks.
