Taylor Guitars, in collaboration with Dave Matthews, is releasing the Dave Matthews Signature Model guitar.
The Dave Matthews Signature Model is based on his #1 guitar which is the Taylor 914ce. Some features include Indian rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top, abalone inlays based Matthews’ hand-sketched designs, ebony fretboard and other ornate inlay.
Sonically the new model has CV bracing with a tone-enhancing rout and comes with the Expression System for pure acoustic amplification. Other features include Ivoroid binding, bone nut and saddle, Gotoh 510 tuners, also an interior label and C.O.A. personally signed by Matthews.
The new guitar is now available at authorized domestic and international Taylor dealers at a suggested retail price of $5,428.
I have to say that I’m not a big DM fan. He seems like a really nice guy in interviews but I do not get his music at all……and that’s a lot of coin for his guitar. What do you guys think???
