“Orange” by Jim Campilongo

Jim Campilongo’s latest CD release called “Orange” is now available. There are 14 tracks on the album that have very diverse styles according to the interview with the man himself in the March issue of Guitar Player.

You can hear influences by Roy Buchanan and Chet Atkins as well as The Who! Jim also says in the interview that he did not want the album to sound like a “business-card record” but thinks that the songs weave together as a unit.

The gear he used on Orange it is pretty straightforward: His trusty 1959 Telecaster, sliverface Princeton Reverb with Jensen C10N speaker, new Gretsch 6120, Martin O-15 and a Line 6 DL4.

I pre-ordered mine a little while ago and I’m impatiently waiting to give it a listen. Jim is a great player all around….great feel, great tone and a great style. If you want a copy of Orange the links are below.
