I had to post this…. St. Blues Guitars is making the worlds first production Electric Washboard! It’s called the Woogie Board and it seems that Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars is partners with St. Blues in this endeavor.
The Woogie Board features enclosed dual-Piezo pickups, with a 3-way toggle switch for pickup selection. There’s a volume control knob, and an output jack all housed in a Telecaster style control plate built into the leg.
If you are a washboard player you can now run your washboard through any number of effects just like a guitar. Imagine what the washboard would sound like through a wah pedal into a 50 watt Marshall with a 4×12 cabinet……! Oh yeah, don’t forget the thimbles!!!!
