ValveTrain Amplification is pleased to announce the release of the latest additions to their Revolution Series, the Trenton and Savannah Amplifiers along with 2 new Revolution Series extension cabinets.
Designed in the tradition of the masters, the Trenton features a pair of 12AX7 dual-triode preamp tubes driving the signal through a matched pair of cathode biased 6V6 power tubes. Inspired by the simplicity of the amp designs of the 1960’s, the amp controls are Volume, Treble, Middle and Bass.
The Trenton boasts 4 distinct switchable voices through its hand-wired all tube circuit. The High/Low Power switchable output stage delivers a smoking 16 watts of dual 6V6 power or a studio ready 6 watts. The RAW switch disengages the early 60’s black face era tone controls and takes you back to vintage tweed territory.
The Savannah features hand-wired tweed inspired voicing matched with all-tube Tremolo. A pair of 12AX7 dual-triode preamp tubes provide the initial gain and power is handled by a matched pair of 6V6 power tubes in fixed bias. The voice controls are of traditional simplicity, Volume and Tone. The remote foot switch and the Speed and Depth knobs adjust the tremolo from a soft chorus like effect all the way to “Crimson & Clover”. The Savannah produces 16 watts of shimmering clean to vintage tweed inspired crunch.
Both of the combo units tell their story through Eminence Wizard 12″ speakers.
To offer tonal flexibility with the combos and the heads, ValveTrain is introducing 2 new Revolution Series extension cabinets. The Revolution 1×12 is a small (19×19) portable open back 1×12 cabinet that houses an Eminence Wizard 12″ speaker at 8 ohms. The Revolution 2×10 is a convertible back (open or closed) cabinet that is loaded with a matched pair of Eminence Ramrod 10″ speakers wired at 4 ohms.
Both the Trenton and the Savannah are very touch sensitive and deliver their varied tonal spectrum with a quick flick of the guitar volume knob and intensity of pick attack.
Like all of the Revolution Series amps, the Trenton and Savannah are built with top shelf components. All of the major components including cabinet, transformers, speakers, board and chassis are proudly made in America. The amps are hand wired at the ValveTrain facility in Sorrento, Florida. The Trenton and Savannah will be at local ValveTrain dealers starting in September of 2009.
