The new Yamaha SBG3000 guitar commemorates that 40 years ago Yamaha began selling guitars in the United States. This model has never been available in the United States, and only 40 of these limited edition collector’s items will be produced by Yamaha. Each of the 40 guitars are serialized and come with a special glass display case.
A new and unique feature to this SBG series is Yamaha’s Initial Response Acceleration. This is a proprietary manufacturing process that accelerates the maturing process of the instrument. This allows a brand new production instrument to develop its own individual character quicker, which results in a highly responsive guitar that has the sound of a guitar that has been played for many years. In addition the Initial Response Acceleration brings out tonal sweet spots, increases stability and strength of the wood, and guards against cracking, splitting and decay.
