New Godin Guitars 5th Avenue Archtop

press5thave.jpgThe new Godin 5th Avenue is a true vintage spirit of yesterday with today’s level of modern playability. It has more projection & volume than traditional archtop acoustic guitars and the dynamically rich tone of the 5th Avenue makes this sophisticated instrument a dream to play. The Godin 5th Avenue is also an affordable North American archtop guitar (made in Canada) a reality!

A great amount of effort, time & research went into crafting the 5th Avenue. With a tonal character for the music of today, it would be natural for this instrument to be seen in the hands of artists the likes of Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), Ryan Adams, or even Jack White (White Stripes). It is versatile and can be used for Alt-Country, Delta Blues, Slide, Jazz to Rock.

Constructed from Canadian Wild Cherry, the body of the 5th Avenue features an arched top and back, as well as an adjustable rosewood bridge, classic f-holes, contoured high-gloss headstock, floating pickguard and cream binding. The rustic beauty of its Custom Polished Finish creates a gorgeous satin sheen reminiscent of the French polish of the 19th century.

List price $734.00 and includes hardshell case. Photo credit: Godin Guitars.
